eBay: 1939 Hawaiian Day - Tribute to Alexander Cartwright

Bringing a little bit of the Pacific to the Brooklyn Borough. Here are a couple of pics from eBay featuring pregame ceremonies of Hawaiian Day at Ebbets Field. They are honoring Alexander Cartwright. Dodgers manager Leo Durocher and Reds manager Bill McKechnie make a toast to the Baseball pioneer above.
"Brooklyn, NY - The Cincinnati Reds and the Brooklyn Dodgers having leis placed around their necks by Princess Phohina and Princess Aloma at the Hawaiian celebration, which was held between game of the Brooklyn-Cincinnati double-header at Ebbets Field, August 26th. The players are pictured about to drink a Hawaiian Pineapple Juice Toast in honor of Alexander Joy Cartwright, the founder of organized baseball, who became a prominent citizen of Honolulu after teaching the game of baseball to the natives."
