Here is today's Daily Conlon card numbered #166 of Willie Kamm telling us about "The Worst Day He Ever Had." It's all about the high expectations of fans and the inevitable let down when he just had a bad day. The subsequent wails of disappointed fans was something he never forgot.
"Well, there must have been about 25,000 people there that day, and I think about 24,999 of them stood up as I walked back to the dugout and told me what a bum I was and that I could right back to California."
Harsh!
