  • Event will be conducted on a first-in-line-first-served basis, we reserve the right to post and enforce line cut-offs.
  • These postings will indicate that guests may not be guaranteed an autograph from a specific player or coach during a specific posted time if you are in line beyond the posting. These postings will be enforced at each station.
  • You may bring personal items for autographs. You are welcome to bring a photo, ball, and jersey, baseball bat or sports memorabilia to be autographed.

  • Players will not be personalizing autographs.
  • Players may NOT sign a blank piece of paper.
  • If you choose to vacate your space in any line at any time during the autograph session or impede the lines' progress voluntarily, you will be removed from the line. This will be strictly enforced.
  • You may not have someone reserve a space in any autograph line. Cutting lines is not permitted and may result in dismissal from the event.
I especially like the last rule.  Let's make sure this is a fun and non-stressful day.  Please, do not think it is OK to cut in line.  All it does is aggravate people, and it may even provoke screaming- from ME!  So, please don't do it.

BTW, the Dodgers FanFest will take place; rain or shine!

Dodgers Blog Kiosk: 1/24/2013

Here is a great photo of Chavez Ravine before there was a Baseball stadium (1957).  The man in the foreground is pointing to where home plate will be.  The gentleman is unknown, but thought to be a reporter with the LA Herald-Examiner.  Photo via reddit Notlandshark
  • With it less than a week before its official release, Topps unveiled some more preview pics from their upcoming 2013 Topps flagship Baseball card set.  Go here to see them on facebook.  The Adrian Gonzalez and Josh Beckett cards are below.
  • Mark Ozanian at Forbes notes that the reported $7Billion TV deal is based on ambitious assumptions.
  • Scott Elbert is out for the start of the season.  Via Mark Saxon at ESPN, he had arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday.  Paco Rodriguez, Shawn Tolleson and Peter Moylan figure to be competing for his spot.
  • Listen to Dodger Talk with Jorge Jarrin as he speaks with Andre Ethier.
  • Dodgers photographer Jon SooHoo shares photos from Day 3 of the Dodgers Community Caravan.
  • Scarlet at Sports Collectors Daily highlights a vintage WWII Baseball card set that is easily the ugliest card set ever made.  Really!  It's disgustingly horrible looking, but I guess that's its charm.
  • RinkRat at LetsGoKings.com provides the definitive guide to the LA Kings Stanley Cup Championship rings.  I didn't know it would be so varied and confusing.  In fact, it includes a pic of the rings that will be given to fans this coming Monday.  WooHoo!  I can't wait to get it.  See it below.
  • Are you going to the Dodgers FanFest this coming Saturday?  Well, just to let you know, it will still go on, rain or shine.

Another 2011 Topps Diamond Embedded Dodgers Card

I'm sure you recall Topps diamond embedded Baseball cards from the 2011 season.  If not, then here's the skinny.  In 2011, Topps big marketing gimmick was to celebrate their diamond anniversary Baseball card set by creating a "1 of 1" card with an actual diamond in it.  Every card in the base set had a parallel diamond card available.  As you can imagine, it created quite a stir at the time, and I was sure to highlight any Dodger cards that came to light on the open market.

Over the past couple of years, I've only spotted 4 different Dodger cards and posted them up on this blog for all to see.  See those stories here (Tedd Lilly, James Loney, Clayton Kershaw, and Hong-Chih Kuo).  Now, another Dodger has arrived and it's of our former closer, Jonathan Broxton.  See it below.

Sellers have been seeking about $500.00 a piece for the cards.  Although, the Kershaw card was recently listed on eBay at $295.00, but did not sell.
