I feel exhausted. What else can you do to wind down after a week filled with Dodger news then to check out twitter for some Dodger pics? Here are some of my favorites.

Daily Conlon: 379 through 387

Here are todays Daily Conlon cards numbered 379 through 387. Unfortunately, no one is featured in a Dodger uniform, but there is one former Dodger in the bunch.

Johnny Allen (located in the middle row, far right) played for Brooklyn for only 3 of his 13 Major League seasons. He did well in Blue, going 18-7 with a 3.21 ERA. True story, via wikipedia:

While working as a bellhop in a hotel, he was told to take some fans to the room of Yankee scout Paul Krichell. Allen told Krichell that he was a pitcher, and the scout arranged a tryout.

That's what I call good fortune.

Collection: Luke Hochevar Team USA Auto

I know. I know. Luke Hochevar is not a Dodger, but he was drafted by them back in 2002 and 2005. That last time he was chosen in the first round- 40th overall. As you recall, he did not sign, and instead held out for a season to play independent league Baseball. He was drafted again in 2006 by the Royals as the first overall pick and signed a hefty $5.3Mil Major League contract. Something I didn't know was this, from wikipedia:

After heated, desperate negotiations between the Dodgers, Hochevar, and his agent Scott Boras, Hochevar suddenly switched agents to Matt Sosnick, accepted a $2.98 million signing bonus from scouting director Logan White, then returned to Boras the next day and reneged on the deal.

Anyway, this is a 2005 Upper Deck Team USA National Team autographed card of Hochevar.

The 1981 Dodgers Reunion Show This Saturday

This looks like a big show for autograph hounds. Frank & Sons in the City of Industry will be hosting the 1981 Dodgers Reunion show at their weekly collectors exhibit show tomorrow. It figures to be a pretty big event.

I wish I could be there, but I had already made a commitment to help some good friends of mine move-in to their first home. Robbie, you owe me one!

  Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw continued their offseason collection of honors Thursday, Kemp being named the National League's Outstanding Player and Kershaw the NL Outstanding Pitcher in the annual Players Choice Awards.

• Looks like Frank is going back to Boston. Unfortunately, we get stuck with Jamie. Via Bill Shaikin.

  Under a divorce settlement filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Jamie McCourt kept four homes — two in Malibu, one in Holmby Hills and one in Vail, Colo. Frank McCourt kept two homes, both in Massachusetts.

• Call to the Pen explores the similarities between the 1941 and 2011 Dodgers.
  
• Jared Massey starts a new Dodger blog called LA Dodger Report.
