Greatest Marching Band Performance Ever!

As a former marching band geek in high school, I have to say that this is one of greatest half-time shows I've ever seen.  Wow!  Ohio State University's marching band paid homage to video games this past Saturday during their game against Nebraska, and amazed the crowd.  Their horse at about the 6:00 mark is amazing.

Dodgers Blog Kiosk: 10/8/2012

Topps recently unveiled some early pics of their 2013 Topps Museum Baseball card set, via Beckett.  Take a look at the Matt Kemp and Adrian Gonzalez relic cards above and below.

Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the surgery, what the team called a "30-minute clean up procedure." Ellis sustained tears to the medial and lateral meniscus, which were debrided. (On his left knee) He will start physical therapy next week and is expected to be able to return to his normal off-season workouts in 6 weeks.
AJ's wife, Cindy, shared a pic on twitter of him resting his post-surgery knee.  (Hat Tip: Jon Weisman at Dodger Thoughts)

Collection: Todd Hollandsworth 1997 Metal Universe Autograph

Todd Hollandsworth was the 5th consecutive Dodger to win the Rookie of the Year award in 1996.  Via Wikipedia:
He led all N.L. rookies that season in hits, doubles, home runs, runs batted in, and stolen bases in 149 games.
Hollandsworth would spend 5 1/25 season in LA, posting a Dodger career batting average of .266 with 41 home runs, 179 RBI's, and a .732 OPS.  Currently, he is a pre and post game analyst for the Chicago Cubs.  Of special note, Todd is married to the sister of former Dodgers reliever Matt Herges.

Featured here is a 1997 Fleer Metal Universe certified autographed card of Todd Hollandsworth from my collection.

Just for fun.  Check out this funny video of Todd Hollandsworth, as Dodger, playing left field in Wrigley Field.  Little did he know that he did not catch the last out of the inning.

A Sneak Peek at Some 2012 Panini Cooperstown Baseball Dodgers Cards

Even with the regular season at a close, there are still a bunch of new Baseball card sets ready to be released.  Panini America is about to unveil its 2012 Cooperstown Baseball card set in a couple of weeks and provided a sneak peek at a 20 card insert set called Famous Moments on their blog- The Knights Lance.  The set is like walking through the Baseball Hall of Fame as it features numerous Baseball artifacts that are on display at the museum.

Of the 20 cards in the set, three are focused on Dodgers memorabilia.  Above is Jackie Robinson's game-used glove.  Below is Maury Wills' 1962 cleats he used to steal his 102nd base of the season, and Roy Campanella's 1955 World Series game-used bat.
