A Dodger Scrapbook

You really can't beat a look through a vintage homemade scrapbook of the Dodgers. Recently, on eBay, one such scrapbook became available that started in Brooklyn and traveled westward to Los Angeles.

It contains clippings and other items related to the Dodgers in a hard cover looseleaf binder. It was compiled by my cousin Joe - I am guessing sometime in the 1950's and continuing through the Dodgers move to LA. Most of the scrapbook seems to be devoted to the Brooklyn Dodgers, but there are definitely more than a few pages dealing with the team after it moved out west.
Check out the picks below. It sold for $86.09. Click any of the pics to enlarge.

Woo Hoo! Hockey's Back!

It is opening night of the 2009-2010 NHL Hockey season. With the Dodgers headed to the playoffs and the hockey season just beginning, I couldn't be happier right now. Check out this great video from tonight's opening montage on Hockey Night In Canada.
