Dodger Goodies at Goldin Auctions

Goldin is currently running their Winter Auction and it includes several notable Dodgers memorabilia items.  Check them out below.

Jackie Robinson was in the midst of having a whale of an rookie season in 1947.  Not only had he broken Baseball's color barrier, but he did it with poise -- even amidst all the vitriol he experienced.  So on Tuesday, September 23rd the fans organized a "Jackie Robinson Day" at Ebbets field, and featured above is an un-scored scorecard from that game.  (Auction Link)

As you may know, Jackie would be honored on the field and receive a brand-new Cadillac, a giant television set, a portable radio, a gold pen-and-pencil set, cutlery, silverware, an electric broiler and a watch.  However, it was another pioneering civil-rights figure who would would steal the show.  Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, a guest of honor at the event, said:
"I am sixty-nine years old, but I never thought I would live to see the day when I would stand face to face with Ty Cobb in Technicolor."
Another item that struck my fancy is the below personalized original drawing by famed artist LeRoy Nieman of Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda.  (Auction Link)
