Like Music to My Ears

I just saw this quote at MLB Trade Rumors, and it just warms my heart.
Dodgers GM Ned Colletti is working under orders to make the team better regardless of cost. "Cost is no object for them," said a GM. "They are playing a different game than the rest of us right now."
Aren't those the words every sports fan wants to hear?

Wow!  What a difference a year makes, eh?

I'll refrain from worrying about future budget constraints for now.  After all, we Dodger fans have suffered long enough from the McCourt era, so we deserve this kind of love.

  1. that's terrible when Colletti is the guy for whom money is no object.

    1. I hear ya, I guess I'm more willing to discredit much of the terrible signings he made during the McCourt era due to constraints placed on his ability to sign really good talent. For instance, it seems to me he felt he needed a 3rd baseman, but didn't have the funds to get a solid player, so instead signed someone like Uribe as a consequence.

I'm just more willing to give Colletti a clean slate for now
