Braves Series Starts Monday - Stadium Giveaways, Pregame Info and Other Stuff!

The next homestand starts on Monday against the Atlanta Braves. Below are some odds and ends for this upcoming homestand. Here are some important links:
-----------------------

Monday, May 6th at 7:10 PM
TV: SportsNet LA, SNLA Spanish
Radio: AM 570 LA Sports, KTNQ 1020

Monday's game starts at 7:10 PM. Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM.

It is Cal Poly Pomona Night at Dodger Stadium. Folks who order a special ticket package will get an exclusive Dodgers' Cal Poly Pomona Night cap. See that on the right. If not already sold out go here for more information.

Lifelong Dodger fan and double amputee, Mark Andersen, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Read all about him here, via Janene Scully at Noozhawk.
“I get to be a little kid one more time,” Andersen said, later joking that he needed to “get the old arm in shape” so he could deliver a heater across the middle of home plate.

Tuesday. May 7th at 7:10 PM
TV: SportsNet LA, SNLA Spanish
Radio: AM 570 LA Sports, KTNQ 1020

Tuesday's game starts at 7:10 PM. Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM.

It is $1 Dodger Dog Night. WooHoo! Last year they limited it to five (5) Dodger Dogs per transaction, so I expect that rule will still be in place.

The national anthem will be performed by Gene Simmons. Also, the ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by three of California’s 2019 Teachers of the Year. Per NBC4:
Kim Holz is a fourth-grade teacher at Opal Robinson Elementary School in Manhattan Beach, Michael Henges is a 12th-grade government and economics teacher at Redondo Union High School and Angel Mejico is a seventh- and eighth-grade art teacher at El Cerrito Middle School in Corona.

"Although teaching is an ever-changing profession, molded each year by the students with whom we have the honor of instructing, there are some salient threads at the core of my practice,'' said Holz, who has been teaching for 38 years, 21 years in her current position. "Sensitivity, humor, reinforcement, motivation, practice, exploration, inquiry, and discovery are common threads that weave in and out throughout my day."
It is Teacher Appreciation Night at Dodger Stadium. Folks who order a special ticket package will get an exclusive Dodgers' Teacher Appreciation Night t-shirt. See that on the right. If not already sold out go here for more information.
