Below are more links to check out:
  • This Day in Dodgers HistoryIn 1983 longtime Dodger manager Walter Alston is elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Special Veterans Committee vote. Detroit infielder George Kell was also elected. In 2012 the Dodgers signed 27-year old former NFL defensive back Jarrad Page to a minor league contract after impressing scouts during an open tryout in Arizona. Page played six season in the NFL, but decided to tryout during the Dodgers spring camp when he realized his pro football career was coming to an end.

  • In case you're interested -- Per Rowan Kavner at Dodgers Digest -- "Major League Baseball releases statement on coronavirus precautions."
While MLB recognizes the fluidity of this rapidly evolving situation, our current intention is to play Spring Training and regular season games as scheduled.
  • The Oklahoma City Dodgers blog, Beyond the Bricks, has been sharing a bunch of pics from Spring Training in Arizona. Go here, here or here to check them out.
  • Via Dustin Nosler at Dodgers Digest -- "2020 Dodgers Top 100 Prospects: No. 6, C Keibert Ruiz."
  • It should come as no surprise that the Dodgers' Opening Day starter will be Clayton Kershaw -- for the ninth time in his career, via a tweet from Bill Plunkett. This tweet also confirms that Alex Wood has won the job as the fifth man in the rotation:

  • Holy Moly. How long before this becomes a reality here? Per an AP report at Sports Illustrated -- "Virus Postpones Opening of Japanese Pro Baseball Season."
  • So many interviews! Per Lisa Johnson at Beyond the Bricks -- "Interviews from Dodgers Spring Training." OKC Dodgers Director of Communications and Broadcasting Alex Freedman caught up with a bunch of Dodger prospects and this post includes a whole bunch of them -- including Mitchell White, Tony Gonsolin and Edwin Rios.
  • This mornings Baseball America Prospect Report makes note of Dodger hurler Tony Gonsolin:
On the day the Dodgers announced their Opening Day rotation would not include Gonsolin, the Dodgers’ No. 4 prospect went out and continued to dominate as he has all spring. Gonsolin pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of relief with two hits, one walk and three strikeouts against the Padres. He has yet to allow a run in three spring training appearances and is making a strong case to break camp with the Dodgers as a swingman.
  • Woo Hoo! Willie Calhoun had surgery and is doing fine, via a tweet from him:
