  • Lost in Translation: This is the weirdest story ever. Chuck Garfien at NBC Sports writes that Juan Uribe oftentimes didn't know the name of his teammates, but more importantly he explains how he became a Dodger in the first place. It's the most 'Uribe' story ever!:
“(Giants manager) Bruce Bochy called me,” recalled former White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, who was Uribe’s close friend. “Tell (Uribe) we’re going to match every penny the Dodgers are going to give him. We want him back.”
Guillen got Uribe on the phone and delivered the message.
“Two days later, Uribe signed with the Dodgers. Bochy called me saying, ‘What the hell? What happened?’” Guillen said.
Debut Day. Take me through the emotions of that day and the moments leading up to it.
Whew, yeah, all the emotions. He got the call a little after midnight and we shared a hug and moment then automatically went into OK, you have be at the airport in six hours. I had to book a flight for myself. We had to call the OKC clubbie so he could open the clubhouse so Matt could get his baseball stuff. We each packed a bag and got back into bed with alarm set for a little under three hours. I think I got a little sleep but Matt said he didn’t get any. We went to the airport together and from the time till we got to the airport until I got to the stadium I was so so nervous. But like a good nervous...
Snell and Lux are two of the biggest gamers in the tournament and are often teammates during Call of Duty and Fortnite streams. But on Friday, the two will surely have some fun playing against each other with a semifinal spot on the line.
