Suite Seats

As Orel at Sons of Steve Garvey mentioned last night, the Dodger have organized an impromptu blogger get together at tonight's game against the Padres. Like the Sons I quickly RSVP'd without hesitation. It's not everyday you get a chance to see a game in a suite. On top of that, this will be a first for me at Dodger Stadium.

I can't wait to don my Dodger jersey. I'll put my cap on my head as I head to the gates leading to the stadium. The ticket taker will greet me with a smile and repeat the words I've been longing to hear all year. "Welcome to Dodger Stadium."

Yes! Tonight will be my first regular season game of the year and I can't wait. I'm coming from down south of the orange curtain. So, traffic will be a major issue for me. Hopefully, the great Dodger in the sky will part the lanes enough for us to squeeze through.

Thank you to Chris at for making the pitch to Josh. I look forward to meeting all of the folks who can attend.

  1. This is nice, but which bloggers did they invite? and how do you get on their list?
    vr, Xei

  2. Love the blog and looking forward to meeting you tonight at the game - thanks as well for the shout out to! We're new on the scene and appreciate it!

  3. Well, I have no idea who they invited. I imagine they invited most, if not all, the bloggers who currently receive communication (PR announcements) directly from their PR department.

Some time before the start of Spring Training I received an email from the Dodger PR department about a desire to reach out to some of the Dodger bloggers. They put us on their email PR list and sent me a press guide. I imagine this is what got everything started.

How did I got on the list? I don't know. My guess is that they visited Dodger Thoughts first (since Jon's site is the 80 lbs guerrilla in the room) and checked out all the links given on his website and just went from there.

How to get on the list. I would email the PR department. Ask for Josh Rawitch.

BTW, are you the DodgerSims writer? If so, they may have tried to reach you, but there does not seem to be a way to contact you via email on your website.
