Wheaties: Dolph Camilli
Cobb Salad's Baseball Annual Pass
This is a cool little one-of-kind memorabilia item from the 1966 Baseball season. It is a annual pass that allows the holder entry into any National League stadium. It was given to former Hollywood Brown Derby restaurateur Robert H. Cobb. As legend has it, he was the inventor of the Cobb Salad. The annual pass comes in an alligator skin billfold and is signed by commissioner Warren Giles. There is also a little pocket for a season schedule.
Below is the 1966 Baseball schedule included in the annual pass- complete with its own alligator skin-like billfold.
(eBay Auction Link)eBay: These 3 Bill's
Here are a couple of great press photos from The Sporting News. They were, no doubt, taken during Spring Training and feature Bill Russell, Willie Davis and Willie Crawford. I guess you can say it features the 3 "Bill's" on the team.
