Something Out Of The Blue: Jones Lands In LA

This was the last thing I expected to read in this mornings newspaper.
The Dodgers agreed to terms with free-agent center fielder Andruw Jones on a two-year guaranteed contract worth $36.2 million on Wednesday evening.
Wow. Not only do we get a much needed defensive upgrade in centerfield, but we also get a legitimate power threat. Sure, he had a terrible year last year, but he is still young enough to bounce back in a big way. Not only that, we are only tied to him for 2 years just in case his recent decline becomes a trend.

Now if Pierre can accept being the 4th outfielder then this move helps the team by leaps and bounds. A Ethier-Jones-Kemp outfield look impressive to me.
