Weekend Autograph Opportunities: Dodgers FanFest & the NHL All-Star FanFair

Here are this weekends autograph opportunities and events throughout the Southland. As always, be sure to check the Blue Heaven Calendar for other events (a link can always be found on the tab at the top of this page, just left of center), and always confirm with the establishment. Everything is subject to change.  Please email me with any tips about upcoming events in Southern California.  As the rest of the week progresses I'll update this post with other events (if there are any) as I become aware of them.  Also, I don't always list every event below, so be sure to check my Calendar.  I always try to favor free signing events over paying events.  Click on any pic to embiggen.

This is a big weekend in sports for the Los Angeles area.  Not only are the Dodgers holding their annual Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour this week, but they are also hosting their FanFest on Saturday.  Also, the NHL All-Star Game FanFair is also taking place at the convention center from Thursday to Saturday.

From 10:00 Am to 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 28 at Dodger Stadium will be the annual FanFest.  The parking lot opens at 9:30 AM and is free.  Admission is also free, but you must get an admission ticket online in advance.  Go here to get that.

Autograph tickets appear to still be available.  Go here for more information.  Furthermore, a free autograph session for kids (14 years old or younger) will be held in the parking lot.  Per a Dodgers press release:
Free autographs will be available at FanFest for kids only (ages 14 and under) at the Jr. Dodger Autograph tent in Lot G. Two one-hour sessions will take place at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Autographs are not guaranteed and players will not be named in advance. An autograph card will be provided to each child to present to the signers. No personal items will be signed at this activation.
There are also numerous VIP Experiences available, as well.  Go here to check out what is still available.

Other activities this day will include on-stage interviews, batting cages, various game inflatables, a rock wall, carnival games, video games, live music, photo opportunities, food and beverages. LADF will host its third annual Yard Sale with one-of-a-kind Dodger items for budgets of all sizes, including jerseys, T-shirts and more. LADF will also have a Mystery Bag Fundraiser where fans can purchase an official Major League baseball autographed by a current, future prospect or former Dodger for a $40 donation, autographed photos for $20 and autographed jerseys for an $80 donation while supplies last. Proceeds benefit the programs and charitable giving of LADF.

This weekend, starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 26th to Saturday, January 28th is the NHL's All-Star Game Weekend and FanFair.  Go here for more information.  There will be a bunch of former and current hockey players attending to sign autographs for fans.  Also, the fair will include a small card show, collecting-related activities and promotions at Upper Deck’s booth, and a display of historic hockey memorabilia.

So far, Hall of Famers and Kings legends Luc Robitaille and Rogie Vachon are scheduled to sign autographs on Thursday; along with fellow Hall of Famers Bill Smith and Brad Park.  Current Devils winger and former first overall draft pick Taylor Hall is scheduled to sign on Saturday.  You should expect more current and former players to be signing, so stay tuned.  BTW, I am uncertain about the cost of autographs, but I believe they are free (don't hold me to that, though).
