2020 Topps Now - First Dodger Cards of the Year - #65 to 69 - Biggest Trade of the Decade


These deals haven't even been officially announced yet. Nevertheless, Topps is making available several 2020 Topps Now cards to celebrate last night madness. As you know, five key players are changing ships, and the Dodgers are heavily involved in all of them.

First, the "big-get" is Mookie Betts. He is moving to Los Angeles to ply his trade in Dodger Blue. Featured above is the Topps Now card announcing the trade. Go here to check it out and order. Below is what's written on the reverse.
The Los Angeles Dodgers staked their claim as super team, acquiring elite outfielder Mookie Betts to add to an already formidable lineup. The 27-year-old star has been a perennial MVP candidate for the past four years, averaging 122 runs scored, 29 home runs and 24 stolen bases per season in that span.
The next card available from Topps Now makes note of David Price's move to LA.

David Price was sent to the Los Angeles Dodgers alongside Mookie Betts in one of the most remarkable deals of the offseason. The veteran left-handed pitcher will join a rotation led by stars Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw. The former AL Cy Young Award winner adds plenty of experience to the perennial World Series contenders.

Alex Verdugo was among the key players to join the Red Sox in the trade that sent Mookie Betts and David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The former top prospect has flashed stardom in his tenure with the Dodgers, posting a career .282 batting average with 14 home runs and 49 RBI in just 443 at-bats in MLB. Verdugo has played every position in the outfield and figures to be a young building block for the Red Sox.
The beloved Japanese pitcher Kenta Maeda is the subject of the fourth card available today.

Kenta Maeda was traded to the Minnesota Twins as part of an epic, three-team deal that sent Mookie Betts and David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Maeda has been one of the better pitchers in Baseball at generating swings and misses with 641 punchouts in just 589 career innings pitched. The 31-year-old right-hander will give the Twins a solid starting pitcher to add to their promising staff.
Lastly, the ever-lovable Joc Pederson is the final card Topps Now is selling.

The Angels acquired slugging outfielder Joc Pederson from their cross-town rivals in the aftermath of the blockbuster that sent Mookie Betts and David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Pederson has been a vital cog for the Dodgers since entering the League in 2014, slugging 123 home runs from the left-side of the plate.
