A Whole Slew of Dodger Custom Fantasy Baseball Cards Featuring Last Nights Celebrations
I just couldn't help myself.
I grabbed a bunch of photos found at the Dodger Insider blog, as well as, various post found on twitter. Here are 15 different fantasy cards celebrating last nights clinch game and the ensuing partying in the clubhouse thereafter.
2019 Topps Archives Snapshots -- All the Dodgers Cards
The Topps online exclusive Archives Snapshots cards have been making their way onto eBay recently, so I thought I'd share pics of all the Dodger cards that are available. Unfortunately, only three Dodgers can be found -- Eric Gagne, Max Muncy and Stave Sax. Go here for a complete checklist.

2019 Topps Now - #822, #827 and the Dodgers Postseason Team Set
There are a bunch of Dodgers' Topps Now cards available today; including some autographed cards featuring rookie Gavin Lux.
As you know, Lux hit hit first home run of his career last night. At the very bottom of this post I share pics of all the auto'd cards. Go here to check out the above card to order. Below is what's written on the reverse:In a game in which the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the NL West Division title, it was Gavin Lux who impressed with the first home run of his MLB career. The roundtripper was one of the rookie's three hits, as the Dodger scored seven runs and beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-3.

WooHoo! Per Rowan Kavner at Dodger Insider:
“The feeling never gets old,” (Russell) Martin said. “We’ve had a good record for a while, so we kind of felt like this moment would happen at some point. But the thing is, the group that we have, that’s what you think about. You think about the people that we have here. Celebrating this moment with good people is what matters, for me at least.”Per Eddie Matz at ESPN:
"You got to tip the hat to the front office and the job that they do every year creating so much depth," Justin Turner told Spectrum SportsNet LA after Tuesday's victory. "You look at the guys around this room, I think every single guy had their finger on winning this division for the seventh straight year. So many good players [with] one goal in mind -- that's to win the World Series."Photo above via Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers 2019 at Dodger Insider. - This Day in Dodgers History: In 1959 the Dodgers defeated reliever Elroy Face and the Pirates, 5-4; thereby, ending Face's consecutive win streak at 22. He finished the season going 18-1 (as a reliever, mind you) with a 2.70 ERA, 2.60 FIP and a 3.2 WAR. In 1983 RJ Reynolds squeezed home Pedro Guerrero in the ninth for an improbable walk-off victory against the Atlanta Braves. The Dodgers scored four runs in the ninth to win. Tommy Lasorda called his decision to call for the squeeze the most "daring" of his career. Watch video highlights/footage of the ninth inning, here. In 1998 Kevin Malone is named the Dodgers GM, replacing Tommy Lasorda.

It highlights Cody Bellinger's fantastic rookie campaign in 2017 -- winning the Rookie of the Year Award. Go here to check it out and order. Below is what's written on the reverse:
Cody Bellinger put together a rookie season for the ages, setting MLB rookie home run record with 39 home runs. The slugging first baseman finished the season with an impressive .352 OBP and 97 RBI while chipping in a solid 10 stolen bases.

I missed another Dodgers' 2019 Topps Now card. It was issued over the weekend to celebrate AJ Pollock's three-homer game on Friday night against the Giants. It has a print run of 181 cards. Below is what's written on the reverse:AJ Pollock impressively hit three solo homeruns against the Giants, one of which traveled at least 420 feet. This was the second three homerun game by a Dodger's player this season but unfortunately this feat was not enough to pull through a win, the Giants won 5-4.BTW, the Dodgers Magic Number now sits at one! Today could be the day they win the National League West Division. Below are more links to check out:
- This Day in Dodgers History: In 1992 a report came out about a "security check" that revealed serious issues with two members of a buying group interested in purchasing the Giants and moving them to Florida. One of the investors mentioned was Vince Piazza -- father of recently called-up catcher Mike Piazza of the Dodgers. The deal falls apart, and MLB settles with the group for $6MM (which includes a letter of apology to Vince Piazza). In 1996 outfielder Brett Butler breaks his hand on a bunt attempt when he is hit by a pitch. The 39-year-old Butler, who battled back from cancer surgery, is out for the year after playing five games. In 2016 Rich Hill threw seven perfect innings against the Marlins, but is pulled by Dave Roberts because of concern over a previous blister problem (boxscore). He had thrown 89 pitches at this point. The Dodgers won, 5-0, but the relief staff ended up yielding two hits to negate the perfect game and possible no-hitter.
- Happy Birthday, High Pockets Kelly, Terry Wells, Danys Baez, Chad Hermansen & Nick Green!
