"Yasiel is going to have some expectations. The orginization can't let him just do whatever he wants and be a wildcard." He added, "We know he's a great player, we want him to be even better. The Dodgers are really intrigued in the community, they do a lot of good things in the community and we also want him to be a great example for the kids out there that are watching him play."
  • Check out this past Wednesday's Dodger Talk with Kevin Kennedy and David Vassegh.  JP Howell comes on to speak with them.  Listen here!
  • Via Eric Stephen at True Blue LA, "Hyun-jin Ryu heads back to LA, started training program early".
  • Jon Rosen at LA Kings Insider reminds us that recently elected Hall of Famer Tom Glavine was once drafted by the LA Kings in the 4th Round in 1984 (he was also drafted by the Braves that year).  He was regarded as an outstanding centerman, and was named MVP of his high school hockey team in Massachusetts.  Rosen shares some great photos and has a video of Glavine playing in his one professional hockey game.
