Braves Series Starts Friday - Scheduled Autograph Sessions, Pregame Info and Other Stuff!


The next homestand starts on Friday against the Atlanta Braves, and several former Dodgers are scheduled for an autograph session with fans on Sunday.  Below are the scheduled autograph opportunities and other odds and ends for this upcoming homestand.

The Atlanta Dog will be available for this homestand only against the Braves at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession areas located on the field, loge and reserve levels. It features an all-beef hot dog topped with fried green tomatoes and spicy peach relish.

The fifth 2016 issue of the new Dodger Insider magazine, featuring Kenley Jansen on the cover, will be available at Dodger Stadium.  (see it on the left.  The Dodgers merged their previously separate Playbill and Dodger Insider magazines into one publication (at least 80 pages per issue) with a new edition available each homestand.  They are distributed at auto gates (one per vehicle) and via Fan Services for those who use alternate transportation.

Friday's game starts at 7:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM.  It is Friday Night Fireworks, so fans will be able to go down onto the field after the game to watch the spectacle.  The evenings theme will be a Special LGBT Night Mix by George Figares and DJ BLACKLY.  Go here for more information on Friday Night Fireworks.

It is LGBT Night at Dodger Stadium.  Folks who ordered a special ticket package will get an exclusive LGBT Night tank top with your ticket.  See that on the left.  If not already sold out go here for information.

LGBT Night at Dodger Stadium will feature a ceremonial first pitch by Robbie Rogers, professional soccer player with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Other scheduled special guests include: Michael Sam, former NFL player; Jason Collins, former NBA player; Julie Shaw, women’s basketball head coach at the University of Laverne; Mitch Eby, former defensive end at Chapman University; E.J. Johnson, TV personality and reality TV star; Noah Galvin, who currently plays the role of Kenny O'Neal in the ABC sitcom “The Real O'Neals;” and Lance Bass, international recording artist.

The Dodgers will welcome a new partner in The Sports Equality Foundation, focused on empowering LGBT athletes, coaches and sports leaders. The Dodgers are proud to welcome back members of VARSITY GAY LEAGUE (V.G.L.). V.G.L. is California’s largest LGBTQ recreational sports league. A pre-game kickball game with select members of V.G.L. will occur prior to the game. 

The national anthem will be performed by former NFL defensive tackle Esera Tuaolo. Tuaolo is the founder of the anti-bullying organization "HATE IN ANY FORM IS WRONG,” whose mission statement is to help address the issues and minimize the negative impact that hate has on our society, especially with bullying as it relates to today’s youth.

DJ Adam will provide musical entertainment tomorrow in the right-field plaza and a balloon artist will be in the left-field plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • The Military Heroes of the Game are brothers U.S. Air Force Senior Airman George Chau, Jr., U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Sergio Chau and Marine Corps Sergeant William Chau of Cypress Park. Senior Airman George Chau was a load master at Norton Air Force in San Bernardino. Lance Corporal Sergio Chau was a Marine artillery man at Camp Pendleton and is a Cal American Legion member. Sgt. William Chau was a Marine rifleman and administrator at Pendleton and is a Marine Corps League member and 1st Marine Division Association member, serving the San Fernando Valley community and active duty servicemen and women. Together, their service includes the peak of the Cold War (1984-94), America’s 911 Force in Readiness and other missions.
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) conducts silent auctions throughout the season featuring signed pieces of memorabilia from Dodger players, coaches and alumni. Auctions take place behind the Vin Scully press box on the club level. The items for auction tomorrow include a Corey Seager autographed jersey, Joc Pederson autographed baseball and Alex Wood autographed photo.

Saturday, June 4th at 7:10 PM

Saturday's game starts at 7:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 4:40 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:10 PM.  The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a #20 Don Sutton Retired Numbers Pin.  See it on the left.

The national anthem will be performed by 19-year-old Ellie Smith, who is making her 11th consecutive season appearance at Dodger Stadium. Smith has performed for millions throughout the U.S., starring on stage in musical productions including “Annie,” “Sound of Music,” “Bye-Bye Birdie,” “Helen of Troy” and as ‘Eponine’ in “Les Miserables.” Starting in September, she will be starring in Disney’s musical spectacular aboard their Disney Dream Cruise.

DJ Adam will provide musical entertainment in the right-field plaza, airbrush face painting will be offered in the left-field plaza, Reality Check band will provide music in the right-field reserve and the Illegal Download band will provide musical entertainment in the left-field reserve from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • The Military Hero of the Game is Game is retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Alvin Skiles, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 and reported to the USS Bennington, an aircraft carrier based in San Diego. After one year on the carrier, he attended submarine school and reported in 1960 to the submarine USS Tang based in Pearl Harbor. After his tour, he was selected for the Navy Civil Engineer Corps and graduated from Princeton University with a master’s degree. The remainder of his Navy career was served at Navy and Marine Corps bases in Public Works and managing new construction, including a tour in Okinawa with the Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam in 1966, helping construct military facilities throughout South Vietnam.

Sunday's game starts at 1:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 10:40 AM, and stadium gates open at 11:10 AM.  The first 5,000 kids (14 years old & younger) in attendance will receive a toddler snack-n-go cup.  See it on the right.

It is Yoga Day at Dodger Stadium.  Folks who ordered a special ticket package will get an exclusive yoga mat with your ticket and a postgame yoga session after the game.  See the mat on the left.  If not already sold out go here for information.

It is Viva Los Dodgers in the Dodgers parking lot prior to the game at the Historic 76 Station.  Festivities begin at 11:10 AM. Entertainment will be provided by Mariachi Los Reyes and Aqquarela. Dodger alumni Al Ferrara and Tim Leary will sign autographs for fans.

Cedars-Sinai transplant patient Joey Green will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Joey will be joined by his mother, Marlene Rattler, and several of the nurses and doctors who have cared for him throughout his life. More than 3,500 Cedars-Sinai employees also will be in attendance to cheer for Joey.

The cast of “The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Big Lebowski” and the cast of “The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Devil Wears Prada” playing all summer at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz featuring Lana McKissack, Trevin Goin, Corbin Reid and Chris Chatman will perform the national anthem.
  • The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Army Master Sergeant David Nolan of Glendale. Nolan is an Airborne Ranger, Special Forces Green Beret. He joined the Army when he was 19 and has served 21 years of active duty in the military. Nolan deployed to Europe, Asia, Central America and South America. While serving with the Special Forces, he deployed on six tours of duty in Afghanistan as a weapons sergeant and Team Sergeant leading Special Forces Soldiers into combat earning numerous awards including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor.
  • As part of the 20th anniversary of Scotts Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run skills challenge, the top 24 qualifiers from Southern California will compete at Dodger Stadium Sunday morning in hopes of advancing to the National Finals at the 2016 MLB All-Star Game in San Diego. Eight Team Champions from the competition will be recognized by Dodger alumni Tim Leary. This spring, more than 650,000 children participated nationwide in the Official Skills Competition of MLB.
