Welcome to the Blue, Max Muncy!

Max Muncy has already made an impact on the Dodgers. A few days ago Muncy was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City, and ended up belting his very first homer in Dodger Blue on Wednesday. As you surely know by now, Muncy was called up on Tuesday to replace Breyvic Valera. Per Eric Stephen at True Blue LA:
Muncy signed with the Dodgers last season and hit .309/.414/.491 with 20 doubles and 12 home runs in 109 games for Oklahoma City, and started this season 10-for-32 (.313/.421/.563) with two home runs and two doubles in Triple-A before the call up. He saw time mostly at third base and first base last year but also mixed in time at second base and both outfielder corners.
“Third and first is where he thrives, and I really like him in the box,” manager Dave Roberts said.
You can follow Max Muncy on twitter here: @maxmuncy9. As for his homer he hit against the Padres, he had this to say (via Jay Paris at MLB.com):
"It was very nice," Muncy said. "It is always nice to get the first of anything out of the way, whether it's a hit or home run or a play in the field. It kind of gets the butterflies out of your stomach."
It was the heart of the hitting zone that Perdomo's pitch found. Muncy was ready.
"I was just looking for something hard over the plate," Muncy said. "I put one of my best swings on it and it felt good off the bat, so I had a pretty good feel for it."
In celebration of his promotion I made a couple of fantasy Baseball cards of him. You can see those at the very top of this post.
