Braves Series Starts Friday - Stadium Giveaways, Pregame Info and Other Stuff!


Smoked BBQ Chicken Nachos
The next homestand starts on Friday against the Atlanta Braves. Below are some odds and ends for this upcoming homestand. Here are some important links:

Frito Pie Extreme Dog
There are three new food items being made available for this entire homestand (including the Rangers and Giants series), and it is available at the On Deck Circle stand on Field Level section 48, Loge Level section 133 and Reserve Level section 4. First, in honor of Atlanta you can get the Smoked BBQ Chicken Nachos which features Slow and low smoked chicken, smothered in house made sweet smokey barbecue sauce, served on top of triangle cut nacho chips, topped with green onions and cheddar cheese.

Turkey Pastrami Gravy Fries
The Texas new food item is a Frito Pie Extreme Dog that features an all beef hot dog, topped with fitos, chili, nacho cheese, diced onion, black beans, pickled jalapenos and sour cream.

The third food item honoring San Francisco is an Turkey Pastrami Gravy Fries featuring crispy french fries, tossed in gourmet sea salt, topped with turkey pastrami, brown gravy and chopped parsley.

Friday's game starts at 7:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 4:30 PM, and stadium gates open at 5:00 PM. It is Friday Night Fireworks, so fans will be able to go down onto the outfield after the game to watch the spectacle. The night's theme will be a LGBT Night Mix performed by DJ BowieJaneGo here for more information on Friday Night Fireworks.

It is LGBT Night at Dodger Stadium. Folks who ordered a special ticket package will get an exclusive Dodgers' LGBT Night shirt. See that on the right. This event is already sold out.

For the second consecutive year, the Dodgers have partnered with LA Pride (lapride.org) and will host the official 2018 LA Pride kickoff party at Dodger Stadium beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Right Field Plaza Bar and lasting until first pitch at 7:10 p.m. Produced by non-profit organization Christopher Street West, LA Pride is Southern California's biggest LGBTQ+ celebration, with the LA Pride Festival and LA Pride Parade taking place in West Hollywood on the weekend of June 9-10. This annual celebration, underscored by this year’s powerful and deeply personal #JUSTBE theme, celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and its straight allies through music, art, and culture along with community activities and signature events.

Major League Baseball Umpire Dale Scott will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Scott first umpired in the Majors in 1985, and worked nearly 4,000 regular season games. In his career, Scott umpired 91 postseason games, including three World Series, and also three All-Star Games. Long recognized as one of the most respected umpires, Scott was a crew chief for 16 seasons. In December 2014, in a story on Outsports, Scott discussed for the first time being an openly gay umpire, the first in the sport’s history.

Brian Justin Crum, who finished fourth on America's Got Talent in 2016, will perform the national anthem.

Gus Kenworthy, who won the silver medal in men's slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, will be there. Kenworthy came out publicly in 2015 and he embraces being a role model and advocate for LGBTQ rights. Will Hackner will be honored during pregame ceremonies with a Dodgers Community Hero Award. Hackner founded Varsity Gay League in 2007 and it has since grown into an organization reaching the LGBT community in 13 cities across eight states with over 15,000 members.

Saturday's game starts at 6:10 PM.  Auto gates open at 3:30 PM, and stadium gates open at 4:00 PM.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a Manny Mota Bobblehead. See it on the right.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Silent Auction features autographed memorabilia and is located outside the Vin Scully Press Box.

Sunday's game starts at 1:10 PM. Auto gates open at 10:40 AM, and stadium gates open at 11:10 AM.

It is Girl Scout Day at Dodger Stadium. Folks who ordered a special ticket package will get an exclusive Dodgers' commemorative patch. See that on the right. It is Grad Days at Dodger Stadium to celebrate the Class of 2018!. Folks who ordered a special ticket package will get an exclusive Grad Days t-shirt. See that on the left. If not already sold out go here for information.

The first 12,000 ticketed kids 14 and under in attendance will receive a Jr. Dodgers Wristbands. See it on the right.
