eBay: Dodgers Home Run Bank

Here is a nice Brooklyn Dodger coin bank I recently spotted on eBay. It is likely ceramic and has a red "Made in Japan" sticker on the bottom. This would mean it was made sometime between the late 1940's to the 1960's. Although, I would guess it is from the 1950's. Japan was a mass exporter of ceramics, souvenir and novelty toys to America during that time period, and the red sticker is typical of items made during that time period. This is the first time I've seen one of these, but I don't imagine they are rare since they were probably mass produced.

  1. Thanks for the link. I might bid on it. The same seller has a really cool repro 1961 nodder order form, that I actually did bid on.

  3. I don't actually own any of the '61 square base nodders, but I think I'm gonna start collecting them. I've been searching for a Dodger in good condition for a while.
