Four New 2016 Topps Now Cards to Commemorate Last Nights Victory -- #599, #600, #601 & #602

To no one's surprise Topps has issued a foursome of new Topps Now cards to celebrate the Dodgers 6-0 shellacking of the Chicago Cubs yesterday.  Featured on them are Corey Seager, Yasmani Grandal, Justin Turner and Rich Hill.  As always, you can purchase all four (in addition to two Toronto cards) for $39.99. Go here to check that out.  In the meantime, let's take a brief look at each one individually.

Card #599 belongs to the "Rookie of the Year" candidate Corey Seager.  (Link Here)  It highlights Seager's great day at the plate -- finally!  Prior to his three hits last night, Corey had recorded only four hits in 30 at-bats in the postseason for an slash line of .133/.161/.367/.528.  Per the description on the reverse:
Corey Seager played a key role in the 6-0 win by the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Chicago Cubs in Game 3 of the NLCS.  Seager knocked on the game's first run with an RBI single in the bottom of the third inning, and finished his night by going 3-for-4 from the plate.  With the win, the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead in the NLCS.

The next Dodger card in the set belongs to catcher Yasmani Grandal.  (Link Here)  He too broke out in a big way last night.  He launched a two-run bombed that gave the Dodgers an insurmountable 3-0 lead in the game.  Yasmani had been slashing just .105/.292/.105/.397 during this postseason, and as he said a couple of days ago he just needs that one big hit to get him on track.  Last night, I think it's fair to say that he got that one big hit.  Per Pedro Moura at the LA Times:
“But, now, at any point at any time, one swing could change a lot of things. And it’s gonna be scary if that one swing happens. If I go on a tear, it’s gonna be a bad time for them. It takes one movement for me to figure it out. Until then, I’m gonna keep walking and keep getting my pitchers through.”
Per the description on the reverse:
With the Los Angeles Dodgers leading the Chicago Cubs, 1-0, in the bottom of the fourth inning of Game 3 of the NLCS, Yasmani Grandal crushed a two-run homer to right-center field.  Grandal's homer supplied the Dodgers with a nice three-run cushion, and allowed them to cruise to an eventual 6-0 victory.  With the win, the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead in the series over the Cubs.

Here is Justin Turner's Topps Now card to commemorate his sixth inning solo home run off Jake Arrieta.  (Link Here)  Per Jack Baer at MLB.com:
"You know Jake, he doesn't make a lot of mistakes," Turner said. "When he does, you don't want to miss it and luckily enough, I didn't miss it."
Per the description on the back:
With the Los Angeles Dodgers leading the Chicago Cubs, 3-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning of Game 3 of the NLCS, Justin Turner socked a solo shot to center field.  Turner's home run extended the Dodgers lead to four runs, and helped pave the way to an eventual 6-0 victory.  With the win, the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead in the series over the Cubs.

---------------

Lastly, but certainly the most important one of the bunch, here is Rich Hill's second officially licensed Baseball card in a Dodger uniform (Link Here) -- his first was also an Topps Now card issued in honor of his near no-hitter earlier this season.  For whatever reason Topps decided to not make an regular issued Topps card in the "Update" set that was officially released today.  Boo!

UPDATE:  The print for these cards is as follows: Rich Hill (#602) has 260 cards, Justin Turner (#601) has 264 cards, Yasmani Grandal (#600) has 273 cards and Corey Seager (#527) has 527 cards.
